The “Dear Earth” event is a campaign event hosted by YouTube to raise awareness on climate changes as it kicks off a series of sustainability-themed YouTube Originals programs featuring inspirational keynote addresses, special appearances, performances, and more while addressing the sustainability challenges that the world faces while offering solutions that can be adopted to inspire change around us.
BLACKPINK will appear alongside prominent leaders and personalities like Former U.S. President Barack Obama, Pope Francis, Desmond Tutu, Google/Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, Billie Eilish, Anitta and more. YG Entertainment’s girl group, BLACKPINK is the only K-POP group/artists to be participating in this special campaign and it is also revealed that as speakers, they will be delivering a meaningful message addressing climate changes and raise awareness in the public. Along with the speech, they will also be performing in the event.
BLACKPINK was recently announced as the advocates for the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Dear Earth will premiere on YouTube Oct. 23 in the lead-up to the UN’s Climate Change Conference.
