7 Must Watch Korean Dramas Of Lee Jong Suk That Are Worth The Binge

Lee Jong Suk is a popular actor well known for his romantic dramas. He made his acting debut in 2005 apart from being an actor, he is also a model. His endearing looks and dynamic acting skills have helped him establish a strong reputation both nationally and internationally.

The actor trained as an idol group member for three months and signed with an agency to make his debut. However, he resigned as the agency failed to keep its promise of debuting him as an actor. When he was in middle school, he auditioned for an acting role at the SBS TV station.

Lee won acting awards for his roles in the dramas ‘Doctor Stranger,’ and ‘Pinocchio’, including the Male Top Excellence Award at the 8th Korea Drama Awards. As for In Ha, she has to figure out how to become a journalist without letting her “Pinocchio Syndrome” (inability to lie) affect her.

While her father produced the well-known webcomic W, Yeon Joo is a physician who works in the real world. Things become difficult when Yeon Joo’s father decides to kill Kang Chul. Yeon Joo gets pulled into the world of comic books and encounters the hero there. What happens after the two characters fall in love may be found out by watching the episode. There are several unexpected turns in this drama that will have you watching until the very end.

Don’t we all wonder what would happen if our beloved fictional characters encountered us in real life? We get a peek at that in this drama, making it enjoyable and interesting. There are also a number of amazing hooks in it. If one comes from the world of webtoons and the other is from the real one, how can Yeon-Joo and Kang Chul get close together? To discover out, you’ll have to see it.

5. While You Were Sleeping (2017)

EPISODES: 16

GENRE: Romance, Fantasy, Thriller, Comedy, Legal drama

Nam Hong Joo (Suzy) in ‘While You Were Sleeping’ has the ability to witness other people’s deaths in their dreams. She has made countless futile attempts to stop them but has consistently failed. She is unable to get rid of this curse.

Hong-Joo (Bae Suzy) and Jae-Chan (Lee Jong-Suk) meet in their dreams. They each come to the realization that the ‘cases’ that occur in their dreams truly take place in their waking lives, even though they are clueless that the other person actually exists in real life. They made the decision to work together and figure out the cases in an effort to stop them from materializing in reality.

The original idea behind this play is very fascinating. And, while it has a strong crime-thriller element, it also includes lighthearted comedy moments as well as romance storylines that give the drama the right amount of spice.

6. Romance Is A Bonus Book (2019)

CAST: Lee Jong-Suk, Lee Na-Young

While this drama certainly takes a page out of countless rom-com cliches early into the story, it develops depth as it progresses. Anyone who struggles to develop a voice in their chosen industries will find it sympathetic as it addresses topics regarding self-doubt and people’s definitions of success.

7. Big Mouth (2022)

CAST: Lee Jong-Suk, Im Yoon-Ha, Kim Joo-Hun

The most recent project of Lee Jong Suk, “Big Mouth,” don’t put double quotes in dramas and all)  was a huge success. It was fascinating to see the story’s ups and downs and wonder if Chang Ho would ever be able to resume his normal life. Each episode’s ending generates an intense desire to watch the entire series. Additionally, Lee Jong Suk and YoonA’s relationship is adorable and amusing. Big Mouth strikes the ideal combination of suspense, comedy, and romance.
