The Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA) is officially returning for its second year!
On May 2, the organizers of the 2025 Korea Grand Music Awards (2025 KGMA) announced the event’s official return, along with its dates and venue.
Organized by Ilgan Sports, the creators of the long-running Golden Disc Awards (from 1986 to 2020 for 24 years), the KGMA was launched in 2024 to recognize excellence across various genres of Korean music, including K-pop, trot, ballad, hip-hop, R&B, and more.
Last year’s inaugural event earned praise for its fresh approach to awarding both mainstream popularity and musical artistry. By incorporating a combination of industry experts, public voting, and chart performance, the KGMA positions itself as a balanced and prestigious recognition of Korea’s dynamic music scene.
This year’s ceremony is expected to feature a bigger lineup of performances, special moments, and industry recognition. With anticipation already building, fans are eager to see what’s in store for the second year of the awards.
The 2025 Korea Grand Music Awards will take place over two days, November 14 and 15, at Incheon’s INSPIRE Arena.
