The South Korean singer-songwriter, 10CM, has officially been appointed the new copyright protection ambassador.
On April 23, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, South Korea, held a formal ceremony at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art’s Seoul branch to kick off the 2025 Copyright Protection Campaign. During the event, 10CM was introduced as the face of the initiative, which aims to raise national awareness on fair content usage under the slogan, ‘Consume content fairly, use it confidently.’
As part of his new role, 10CM will help raise awareness around copyright issues by producing campaign songs and appearing in promotional content. Notably, the campaign also introduced ten actionable tasks for the public to follow, including avoiding illegal downloads, reporting piracy, and using properly licensed content.
Furthermore, this appointment reflects 10CM’s growing influence not only as a musician but also as a cultural advocate. Known for genre-defining hits like ‘Americano’ and ‘Love in the Milky Way Cafe’, 10CM has built a strong reputation across both indie circles and mainstream audiences since his debut in 2010.
Earlier this year, 10CM transitioned to a new agency, CAM Withers, after parting ways with Magic Strawberry Sound, where he had been since 2014.
Additionally, 10CM is set to perform at PEAK FESTIVAL 2025, happening from May 24–25 at Nanji Hangang Park in Seoul.
