BLITZERS, the dynamic K-Pop boy group, recently made waves with their latest EP, ‘Lunch Box,’ featuring the electrifying title track, ‘SUPERPOWER.’ The group also made news for their appearance on the hit show ‘Britain’s Got Talent‘ in May 2024. In April 2024, they also held their debut concert in Aizawl, India. In an exclusive chat with Namaste Hallyu, the members delve into their creative process, their experiences on the global stage, and their memorable connection with Indian fans.
The creative process behind ‘Lunch Box’
Working on a new comeback is an exciting and hardworking process. But it is also quite an intriguing one. When asked about the creative process behind ‘Lunch Box,’ member Sya shared his dedication to the choreography of ‘SUPERPOWER’ stating, “More than anything else, I wanted to focus on making it exciting and exhilarating.” Chris, who was heavily involved in writing lyrics and choreography, further revealed, “I wanted to create lyrics people could relate to and choreography that everyone could enjoy.” This effort reflects the group’s commitment to engaging their fans on multiple levels.
The members also dished out how they decided on the themes for their music videos and performances. Juhan explained, “We try to come up with concepts that best match the vibe of our songs and prepare our stages accordingly.”

Wooju revealed the process behind selecting their title tracks and said, “After conducting a meeting with our president, we collectively decide on the track.” Jinhwa elaborated, “Once we hear a song that fits, the thought that ‘This is our title song’ just pops up.”
Recording their EP ‘Lunch Box’ wasn’t without its challenges though. Jinhwa found the song ‘RING RING’ tough due to its high-pitched vocal parts, while Juhan struggled to convey the emotional depth of ‘FXXXIN SPRING.’ Chris shared, “I felt like my rap style didn’t fit ‘Race Up,’ so I had to rewrite the lyrics several times.” For Lutan, the English pronunciation in their first English songs posed a unique challenge.
The members also picked their favorite tracks from the album. Sya picked ‘SUPERPOWER’ explaining, “Since I participated in the choreography, and we’ve prepared for a very long time, it’s special to me.” Chris highlighted ‘SUPERPOWER (Eng Ver.)’ saying, “I had a chance to write the whole lyrics and put a lot of effort into it.” Meanwhile, Jinhwa and Wooju expressed their love for ‘Macarena (Eng Ver.).’
Memorable moments behind the scenes
The members shared memorable moments from filming the music video for ‘SUPERPOWER.’ Juhan enjoyed a fun alley scene with Chris, while Sya appreciated experiencing the vibe and streets of Britain. Chris’ favorite part was running around London during filming.
The members further reflected on the recording and promotion of ‘Lunch Box.’ Juhan recalled filming numerous ’SUPERPOWER’ challenges, encouraging fans to check them out on their YouTube channel. Lutan shared a unique promotional activity—“On the day our song came out, we handed out lunch box-shaped candies to passersby.” For Jinwha, meeting fans was the best memory—”After our comeback, we met BLEE in various places and the slight awkwardness was somehow fun and exciting.”
With superpowers as a theme for this comeback, BLITZERS also talked about the kind of superpowers they wished to have. Since Sya loves his sleep, he wanted the ability to teleport without having to cut down on his sleep, while Chris added that he’d like to “stop the time so that I can live longer and sleep longer than the others.” Lutan and Wooju also wanted time-related powers, with the former desiring to manipulate time, and the latter selecting the power to stop time. Juhan, being efficient, opted for shadow clones to delegate work, while Jinhwa humorously wished for the ability to digest any food.
Trailblazers on Britain’s Got Talent
BLITZERS became the first K-Pop group to participate in ‘Britain’s Got Talent,’ a decision driven by their desire for a meaningful challenge. Chris, a longtime fan of the show, called it “a great experience,” while Juhan reflected on their semi-final performance of ‘Bring That Fire,’ describing it as a proud moment despite not making it to the finals.
A message to Indian BLEEs
Earlier this year, BLITZERS had their first concert in India, an experience they described as unforgettable. Lutan admitted initial worries about audience reactions but was grateful for the enthusiastic reception. Sya praised the passionate support of Indian BLEEs, and Juhan was surprised by how well fans knew not just their songs, but also the cover songs they sang. The members also expressed their love for Indian food and cherished memories of dining with a stunning night view.
To their Indian fans, the BLEEs, the members shared heartfelt messages of gratitude and love. Jinhwa said, “Thanks to you, it became a good memory. Thank you, and I wish to see you again.” Chris added, “I’d like to go back and perform again because it was so fun and I had great experiences from BLEEs!”
